Overview
Frances Perkins’ ancestral homestead, a National Historic Landmark, is a saltwater farm consisting of 57 acres of woods and fields along the Damariscotta River in Newcastle, Maine. The 1837 brick home is listed as “The Brick House Historic District” in the National Register of Historic Places. In 2014, the property was designated a National Historic Landmark.
